I have the 3.5 in my listening room along with a perfectly matched MF nu-vista super intergrated amplifier and 3d cd player, the amplifier is 250w per channel into 8ohms and the proacs are perfectly matched, i have had many speakers but the 3.5 is bliss, this speaker despite only having two 6.5" woofers has so much bass response its unbelievable, they have superb speed and dynamics, far better.

being the Dyna's, the Wilson Watt Puppies 3/2, the ProAc Response 3.5 and the NHT 3.3). Yesterday, having been armed and to some extent, dangerous, I went to listen to the ProAc 3.5's again to see if they were "in or out". They are nice, but they are out. The 3.8's are in. Clarity, and an overall presence that are very---VERY pleasing.

vinyl1. Super Member. Aug 23, 2016. #2. They were one of the finest English speakers ever, I never owned a pair but I loved the sound when I heard them at shows. I believe the 3 retailed for around $6000 a pair in the US, and the 3.5 was over $8000. The current price of a good used pair of 3.5's is around $2000-3500.

Proac 3.5 lack of bass. I just bought used ProAc response 3.5 and am very dissappointed with thin bass, please advise how to improve it as when I moved 3.5 closer to wall behind speakers i have more bass but compromised mid range. A REL subwoofer does not help unless moved 3.5 close to wall.

I have tested this pair of speakers with my listed Conrad Johnson premier 3 pre-amp and my Conrad Johnson premier 4 power amp using a very old Bruce.
